Juan Pablo Ramírez Madrid, Vice President of Business Development and Ángela Patiño Hincapié, Business Development Leader, were the representatives of Quipux in the last edition of the Mobile World Congress; event held in Barcelona during the 26th and 29th of the current year.

At this technology fair, we had the opportunity to participate in Colombia’s innovative stand along side more than 55 companies in the country. This space, equipped with LED screens, meeting cubicles and exhibition space, allowed us to interact with important brands such as Procolombia, Ecopetrol, Internexa and Fedesoft. We were also able to meet other representatives of global companies, with whom we identified alliance and expansion opportunities to impact mobility in cities in Africa, Asia and Europe.

The Colombian meeting was inaugurated by Mauricio Lizcano, Minister of Information Technologies and Communications and was accompanied by several ministers, congressmen and CEOs of Colombia. At the beginning, the importance of these spaces to promote Colombian technology in the world and use it in the same country for the evolution of various sectors was ratified. As an example, they mentioned the deployment made by Internexa, to generate connectivity in the Pacific, Amazon and northern areas of the country; since the current connectivity is less than 6%.

We also had the opportunity to visit the stands of other countries and major global brands, such as Samsung, Lenovo, Android, Telefónica, among many others. We were able to see the technological evolution that these large companies are carrying out, so that their products and services stand out in the market, generate greater added value and facilitate people’s lives.

The Mobile World Congress represents a valuable opportunity for our company, as it allows us to keep up to date with the latest innovations and digital transformations taking place in a wide range of sectors, including entertainment, medicine, mobility, technology, and many more.
